| Painting Instructions: | |
| Birch Insert Board: Basecoat with two coats of Buttermilk. Using Honey Brown lightly sponge or pounce with dry brush (remove most of the paint by blotting sponge or dry brush on a paper towel). Graduate shading from darkest at the edges of board to lighter towards center. Use a light touch to achieve best results. Lettering is done with permanent black pen or marker. |

| Gingerbread Man: Basecoat Honey Brown. Shade with Dark Chocolate. Paint red dip dot heart with Country Red. Dot eyes with Black. Squiggle "frosting" lines with white Accent Liner. Draw mouth with black pen. Dry brush cheeks with Country Red. |

| Hearts: Basecoat Country Red. Shade with Evergreen. Line work is with white Accent Liner. |

| Stars: Basecoat Cadmium Yellow. Shade with Country Red. |
|
| Trees: Basecoat Evergreen. Dot trim with stylus using Cadmium Yellow. |

| Holly: Basecoat Avocado. Shade and do line work with Evergreen. |
|
| Berries: Paint Country Red. |

| Multi-Media Shelf: Shelf may be stained with a wood stain over the entire piece, or an optional design is as follows. Stain all of shelf including pegs with a wood stain, leaving the frame part of shelf unstained. Paint the frame part Buttermilk. Using Honey Brown and a 1/2" sponge create a checkerboard effect around the frame section. Glue three holly leaves together to form a cluster. Glue three red balls to center of leave cluster. For a permanent shelf design glue each of the four leaf groupings to the four corners of the frame. To allow for a seasonal designs change, use Velcro or double sided adhesive to attach the leaf groupings, |
