Instructions:

  1. Stain wood fence by brushing or wiping the gel stain on all sides. Remove excess with a soft cloth and allow to dry. assemble the fence by gluing the fence into the slot cut into the base.
  2. Dress each snowman as desired Some suggestions are:
a.)  Cut small strips of scrap fabric or pieces of thick yarn and tie around the necks of the snow figures for a scarf.
b.)  Cut small squares of fabric and glue to the bodies of the snow figures.
c.)  With a small strip of fabric, make a small bow for the head of the 2nd largest snow figure. Put a strip of fabric on the hat for a hatband.
d.)  Cut black head corsage pins (or colored head straight pins) short, add a dab of glue and stick into the snow figures as buttons.
e.)  Decorate the felt hat with tiny hooly leaves or tiny Christmas greens.
  3. For arms, cut 4 pieces of black wire as follows; 1 each 16", 12", 8", and 7". Using the needlenose pliers, curl one end of the four pieces of wire by grasping the end with the tip of the pliers and wrapping the wire around the long neck of the pliers two or three times. Remove the needlenose and pull the wire out slightly. Make sure the end of the wire is curled back on itself so the sharp end does not stick out. Take the longest wire, cut the straight end at an angle to create a point and push it through the body of the largest snow person about 1/2" down in the mid-section. Try to come out on the same place on the opposite side of the snow person's body. Curl the straight end of the wire the same as the opposite end. Curve the wire to look like arms. repeat for the 3 remaining snow figures matching the longest remaining wire the largest remaining snow figure, down to the smallest.
  4. Glue the felt hat on the largest snow figure.
  5. For the earmuffs, cut 3 pieces of wire as follows: 4", 3", and 1 1/2". Bend each into a curve that fits the head of the 2nd largest through the smallest snow figure. Glue the wires onto the snow figure's heads and glue a pompom over each end.
  6. Shape the 8" feather tree so it is flat on one side and pine tree shaped on the other sides. Remove the base from the tree and glue the tree to the fence 2" to 2 1/2" in from the right edge.
  7. With a stiff brush or craft stick, cover the tops of the fence slats, the cross bar, and the base with drifts of glitter snow. See photo for placement. Lightly stroke some of the glitter snow along the branches of the feather tree. Allow to dry.
  8. Glue the large snowman to the fence just to the left of center.
  9. Arrange the 3 other snow figures around the large snowman and glue where they touch each other or to the fence. Curve the largest snowman's arm so they encircle the others. Glue the broom to the second largest snow figure's hand and body. Glue the wooden sled near the smaller snow figures. Add a little glitter snow to the sled if desired.
  10. . Spray the entire Snowfolk family, tree, and fence with the Americana matte sealer. Quickly sprinkle with ultrafine glitter and re-spray with a light coat of the matte sealer. Allow to dry.
