Designed by Christine Golebiowski

Party favor supplies:

Gold Dasher ribbon

(12” per favor)

Gold lace ribbon

(24” per favor)

Gold foil wrapped

Hershey Nuggets candies

(3 per favor)

Placecard supplies:

Gold edged easel placecards

(as many as desired for table setting)

Violin and horn picks (one per placecard)

Gold Calligraphy marker

Black fine line marker

7/8” wide wire edge gold tapestry ribbon

(1 yard per placecard)

22 or 24 gauge wire

Placecard directions:

1. With the black fine line marker, draw 5 parallel lines horizontal lines, starting 1” up from the bottom of the placecard. Each line should be 3 1/2” long and 1/8” apart. The lines should look like lines in a music book. On the left side of the lines, draw a treble clef sign with the black fineline marker (see fig. 1.).

2. With the gold calligraphy marker, write the names you want on the lines on the placecards. Use large sweeping letters and don’t try to stay within the lines.

3. Cut one yard of gold 7/8’ wide ribbon. Tie a small bow with a center loop and 3 varied size loops. Leave excess ribbon on the bow, wire at the center, and coil the excess into small loops. Trim the wire and glue the bow to the front of the instrument picks. (See photo for the style of bow and placement on instruments) Glue the instrument pick to the front of the placecards at the top right. To keep the cards from flattening under the weight of the pick and bow, cut either scraps of ribbon or ivory paper 3 1/2 “ long, fold each end under 1/2” and glue inside the placecard near the bottom.

Party Favor directions:

1. Trim the gold dasher ribbon into an inverted v on each end.

2. Cut the gold lace ribbon into 4 - 6” pieces.

3. Tie the gold lace ribbon around the gold dasher ribbon about 1” in from the end. Slide one Nugget candy into the dasher and all the way down next to the knotted gold ribbon. Tie another piece of the gold lace ribbon up against the first Nugget and slide a second Nugget candy up to the second gold lace tie. Repeat with a third gold nugget and tie off the end with the fourth piece of gold ribbon. If necessary, trim the dasher ribbon to make both ends even.
