Directions:
1. Shape the latex wreath by pulling the twigs straight out from the wreath toward the
outside of the wreath.
2. Hot glue the printed satin ribbon around the inside edge of the wreath, creating small
loops and gluing every 2 to 3. Out of the leftover ribbon, make a bow with
long streamers. Glue the bow to the wreath on the upper left side. (See photo for
placement of pieces on wreath.)
3. Using the pattern cut 6 bat pieces out of black felt saving the scraps. Hot glue 2 bat
pieces together around the edge of the felt, leaving the head and shoulders open. Stuff
the bat lightly with leftover scraps of black felt and continue gluing around the entire
bat. Repeat to make three bats.
4. Cut the thin black cord into two 9 pieces and hot glue one piece to the flat side
of each of the styrofoam ball halves. Cut the cheesecloth into 4 10 x 10
squares. Lay 2 squares together and drape over the styrofoam ball half. Using a large
needle or wire folded in half, draw the black cord up through the cheesecloth. Pour the
liquid fabric stiffener into a small bowl. If the stiffener is thick, thin with water. Dip
both cheesecloth ghosts into the stiffener, squeeze out excess, shape into a ghost and dry
over cups covered with saran wrap.
5. When ghosts are dry. Glue eyes onto all ghosts andbats. If desired, cut a 1/2
piece off each ghosts cord and glue to the ghost to form a mouth. Glue the bats to
the wreath as in photo and tie the ghosts to the wreath near the bow. Trim the thin black
cord. Attach a wire to the top back of the wreath for hanging.
